Final Post

This year has been a fun year, I loved English, it helped me learn better. I looked forward coming to this class because it was lots of fun and helped me learn a lot.





Self regulation, well I  made sure to ignore my message, Instagram, Facebook, snapchat and Twitter notifications. I have been to every class except for one because I was at the dance fest. I am on time everyday, always early too. I haven't had to catch up on missing assignments because I have done them, just always forget to submit them into edmodo. My seating location is great, we help each other out when we need it. I work really hard to do my assignments right, and on time. I try my hardest ad out ally effort into them. I ha finished the novel on my own when I was not here to finish it.

Restricted (Short Story)

He threw with all his might, but the third stone came skipping back. Michael and his best friend Jack were skipping stones before school like they always do. 
"Are you ready to face the day Michael?" Said Jack. 
"Yes, I am ready Jack," Michael said to him with a smile. 
Michael is 16, has brown hair and brown eyes, he is very athletic but doesn't like doing sports at school. 
Jack is an adorable guy, who is not very sporty, but is artsy. He has blonde hair and green eyes. 

The bell rang as everyone rushed to their classes. The high school hallways were packed. Michael walked into class late. Everyone stared at him as he walked in late. He knew that was not the only reason that everyone was staring at him. He knew he was different then others, nobody really liked him, wanted to talk to him or sit with him at lunch. He was a huge bully target by everyone. He always thought to himself "Why does everyone treat me different? I'm the same person, I just like boys the same way other guys like girls."


Michael had known that he liked boys rather than girls since last year. He doesn't have many friends, but he does have a group of friends that have stuck by his side since kindergarten. In his group of friends he has 3 girls and 3 guys including himself. The girls names are Addie, Rosie and Merissa. They all had brown hair, but different eye colour. The guys are Mason, Jack and himself. Michael and Jack are the only gay ones. He likes Jack,  but he doesn't think that he likes him back so he's trying to give up. 
"Hey guys," all the girls said in unison. 

"Hey ladies," the guys replied, also in unison. 
Then they joined together and started walking. 
"Hey Michael, we all have drama club today, at lunch so sadly we can't hang with you, sorry buddy," Merissa said with a sorry tone in her voice. 
"Oh, it's totally fine," Michael said with a scared sounding tone in his voice. 

Michael was always scared to walk down the hallway, but his friends were always by his side. Except for today. 

So Michael walked down the halls alone at lunch today. He saw one of the football guys eyeing him. He got really scared and started to walk faster. He then noticed that he was walking fast up behind him. Michael had gotten outside to the front of the school and the guy came up behind him and shoved him to the ground.  

He tried to get up, but Mr.Football(thats what Michael calls him) pushed him right back down. He hit his head on the concrete and just lay there still, but breathing. Then he began kicking Michael he the brought him up by his collar and punched him, then threw him to the ground. Then he said
 "You are so Queer" and walked back inside. 

Michael was laying there for a while since he couldn't move. He took his phone out to call Jack. He started dialling his number and heard it ring. Then he heard Jacks voice on the phone. All he could say was, 
" Jack, help, front of the school"
Then he dropped the phone out of his hands. 
"Michael? Michael?! Is everything okay?! Hello?! Oh my gosh I'm coming!!" Jack said with a worried tone. 
 

Michael propped his head up and saw Jack running out toward him. He picked up Michaels head. He started to wipe the blood from his face with his sleeve and stared at him for a little while and kissed him.  

With what Michael could say he said,
"What was that?" 
"I love you Michael, I always have."
"You-you do?" Michael said confused. 
"Of course, how couldn't I?"
"I love you too Jack." 
Then Jack kissed him again. 
Michael was getting short of breath. Jack decided I call 911. 
"Hello? 911? Yes! We have a boy that's been beat up really badly at the high school on 21st street, and we need help right away." 
After he got off the phone with help he looked at Michael and saw him laying there still... Not breathing. 
Jack collapsed into a puddle of tears and starting saying with teats streaming down his face,
"I loved you so much..."
He was pronounced dead at the scene. 



Man from the south

1) plot- Little old man making a absolutely crazy bet.
-introduction- It was getting on toward six o'clock so I thought I'd buy myself a beer and go out and sit in a deck chair by the swimming pool and have a little evening sun.
-conflict (man vs man/man vs himself) (internal/external)- (man vs man) The little man wants to bet the American boy that he can't light his cigar 10 times in a row. If the little man wins, he gets the boys left pinkie, but if the boy wins, he gets the little old mans Cadillac.
-rising action- When the little man pulls out his cigar and the American boy says: 'here let me light it up for you" and the little man says: " dis will not work in da wind." Then they start arguing about if it can light or not.
-climax- When the American boy agrees to do the bet and the little man takes him up to his room and starts strapping his hand down to the table.
-falling action-  When the lady comes into the room and takes the knife out of his hand and pushed him into the bed.
-denouement- When they boy puts the keys on the table to give to the woman and then he sees her hand and she only has one finger and a thumb

Summative Essay

Walking a mile in someone elses shoes can be an eye opener to see what it is like to be in their situation. It can change how you feel about them and how you feel about yourself. 


In the novel the audience sees what autism is really like, no one really knew every thing about autism. When we see what Christopher has to go through having autism. It's not easy, not having many friends, people thinking your weird, people not understanding you and people judging you for who you are. Doing things differently than other people, having to have certain things in certain ways. Some people won't undertand, so they do not think it is normal, but it is for Christopher. 


In Romeo and Juliet the audience sees how the mothers life was actually when she was Juliets age. She had an arranged marriage and then got pregnant and had Juliet at age 13. So she didn't know how to raise her. So she had a nurse that helped raise her. We blame the mother for not treating Juliet right and being a bad mother, but it really wasn't her fault. It was not her fault that she had to get married and have a child so young, it was not her choice. 


A personal story that I have, this girl was being really rude to me and my best friend. Made one of our guy friends not talk to us anymore, and she was saying really rude stuff about us. Then one day, one of my friends told me about something that happened to her when she was really little. She witnessed her dad beating/killing her mom. So I kind of understood why she was being mean. To go through that is horrible, especially as a young child. 


Walking in someone else's shoes can be pretty hard. Especially if you didn't understand it at first and then you go through it, or realize it and then you know how bad it actually was for them. After you go through what they went through or you realize it, it could change your view on yourself and how you should not just he a book by its cover, you have to read into it.

Arguementive essay

There are many people that could have killed Wellington. Only one person stands out in my mind and that is Mr.Boone. There are different reasons why he could have killed Wellington. He had no Alibi, he's said and done things to lead me to believe that he killed the dog.



The dog belonged to Mrs.Shears, whos husband had an affair with his wife. Mr.Boone was probably really angry and killed the dog! The fact that she left him for Mr.Shears made him mad and upset, so his only idea to get back at him was to kill the dog. Yes I know that it was two years later, but that could have been the exact day two years ago that his wife left him. Also, maybe Mr.Boone and Mrs.Shears started having sex after their spouses left them. He probably took his anger out on Mrs.Shears dog


Mr.Boone told Christopher to stop investigating the murder. He knew that his kid was smart, so he knew that he would figure out that he killed Wellington! He is trying to cover up that he killed the dog. It did not mention where Chris' dad was at the time of the murder. His dad also told him that they were not friends anymore. He had told him that around the time wellington was murdered. He usually doesn't describe in detail what he isn't allowed to do, but this time he did.


The Red Herring could have been when he said to Chris "Best to let sleeping dogs lie" Jackie had told me about this and I thought about it and it could have hinted that Mr.Boone killed Wellington. Chris might figure out why he said that later on in the book. After he had said that when his partner was over they kind of laughed it off. Mr.Boone really didn't care about Wellington. So I think that is a hint towards Wellingtons murder.


I am very convinced that Mr.Boone killed Wellington, he has done and said things that lead me to believe it. It was easy to think of these, because he kind of made it a little obvious. Him and Mrs.Shears aren't friends anymore, no one knew where he was on the night of the murder, he made Chris stop investigating.

This song reminded me of how I try to fit in. Some times I work too hard to fit in, and some people like me. But as it says in the song "do you like you?" A lot of the times I don't. I've been bullied since grade 6.  So as the song says: "you have to try." and that is exactly what I am going to do. I thought I had to change myself, who I was, what I believed in and what my values and morals were. Then through all the bullying I listened to this song and it changed my mind completely. Now I am myself which is all that matters.

Relationships Essay

Relationships back then seemed different than they do now. They saw love in a different perspective than we do now. There are many perspectives of relationships, some people think different things about relationships!


Lovers and crushes is a great type of relationship to have. If you have known someone for a while and you have this feeling or nervousness when your around them, or you blush, or your hands get all clammy and your heart starts racing, that means that you either love them (not in love, but love) or you just have a crush on them. In Romeo and Juliet when Romwo first saw Juliet, he said he was in love. Back then in Shakespearean time lovers and crushes relationships seemed different. Once they saw someone beautiful, or handsome, they thought they were in love. Nowadays, when that happens, your not in love, you just find them attractive. If you have known someone for awhile and you start falling for them, that could be love, or just a crush. When Romeo says 'Juliet is the sun' he is meaning that she is beautiful, like the sun and that she lights up his world. It could also mean that she`s warm and bright!


It's pretty easy to argue with this topic, but lovers and crushes, and parents are pretty important in teenagers lives. The most important relationship out of the two are lover and crush relationships. If you don't have a lover and crush relationship, that means you won't be ready for the future. You may not know what to do when you get a boyfriend or girlfriend. It might be embarassing to ask a friend and maybe you feel uncomfortable asking your parents. So, that's why I think crush/lovers relationship is important.  




Relationships with parents is a little more difficult. Teenagers think that their parents don't get them and don't get what their going through. Parents do get it though, they were a teenager once as well. Juliet didn't want to marry Paris but her dad made her. When she told her dad she didn't want to marry Paris he said:
Hang thee, young baggage! disobedient wretch!
I tell thee what: get thee to church o' Thursday,
Or never after look me in the face:
Speak not, reply not, do not answer me;
My fingers itch. Wife, we scarce thought us blest 

That God had lent us but this only child;
But now I see this one is one too much,
And that we have a curse in having her:
Out on her hilding! 
Her dad was saying that if she did not marry Paris on Thursday that she would not be able to live with them and that they would disown her as their child. 
Today, parents and children would usually talk it over, and if the bride doesn't wanna marry the groom they don't have to. Unless it's a business marriage, then the bride has no choice.  




So, relationships back then are pretty different from what they are now. They are very important relationships in teenagers lives. Those relationships make you feel special, and loved.
